The last line of A New Earth reads, “A new species is arising on the planet. It is arising now, and you are it!” You’re it! - I’m reminded of the game of tag. Kids are goated because they just play play play. They’re often enthusiastic about whatever they’re doing. But they’ve got that ego because they can have huge resistance to doing stuff they don’t want to do - they don’t always accept whatever the present moment has presented them.
There are three ways to bring about a new earth through a new heaven which is simply your inner world which informs the collective consciousness. Whatever you do: do it with acceptance, do it with enjoyment, or do it with enthusiasm. The awakened child accepts taking a test for her least favorite class, enjoys rolling down a grassy hill, and enthusiastically opens birthday presents.
Enthusiasm is enjoyment plus alignment with one’s vision or purpose. Full engagement in the task of the present moment with the knowledge that it is a step towards something greater. Things which are done enthuiastically are done effortlessly. Obstacles are greeted with open arms, then deftly stepped around or converted into assets. There is no stress, no frustration, as that is the ego wishing for the present moment to be different than the way that it is, a rejection of what is.
As for me, I feel happy! The messages from this book feel like a life-affirming hug 🤗
